Description
North Rhine-Westphalia is Germany’s most densely populated federal state and the third largest conurbation area in Europe. It thus offers vast potentials and competences with regard to RFID. The RFID-Support-Center acts as a platform where the main RFID players in North Rhine-Westphalia can meet and use the synergetical potentials. The wide range of qualified research, development, production and services as well as the large number of users speak in favour of the creation of an RFID cluster which would also be supported by this platform. It is the aim of the RFID-Support-Center to provide the knowledge basis, which is required for innovations and an optimal consulting, by means of analyses and user support. Developments and applications of RFID technologies should be supported by special measurements, especially in small and medium-sized companies. Special emphasis shall be put on the further development of the radio frequency technology and its applications in private enterprises so as to support the targeted cooperation of interested parties and providers. The RFID-Support-Center was founded to link the multifaceted knowledge, use and research in the field of RFID. The platform focuses on interlinking: Interested parties and providers, developers, users and service providers meet here to exchange experiences, to discuss and research and to get information.
